Myofacial Trigger Point Therapy (MTPT)
Myofacial Trigger Point Therapy is a non-invasive approach that treats the tender spots in the muscle or soft tissue - the trigger points – that cause muscle spasm, limited range of movement, numbness, weakness, and fatigue. Most patients feel the effects immediately. Myofascial discomfort accounts for 85% of visits to doctors for pain.

Connective Tissue Massage (CTM)
Connective Tissue Massage works by releasing restrictions in the superficial (outer) layer of fascia. CTM is the most direct way to restore length and flexibility throughout the entire muscular system, normalizing the tissue and bringing greater health to the fascial network. CTM provides immediate relief without using excessive force.

Reiki
Reiki transfers healing energy via the hands to another. The energy goes where it is needed and is one of the most non-invasive, low-impact and safest healing methods available.  It also has a calming effect on the mind and emotions.

Treatments at Muscle Therapy Mechanics include teaching you how to continue therapy on your own or with a partner.

Muscle Therapy Mechanics (MTM) is located in Bloomington, three miles from the 494/35W intersection on the banks of 9-Mile Creek.
